Well, we got the word from the doctor, sort of.
According to Allyn, (and the nurse refused to corroborate, saying she wasn’t qualified to interperet the test results and that I’d have to speak with the doctor tomorrow) she has an “tumor” that “looks ominous” that is “spreading to her heart”.
Being that she is still kind of half confused, I’m not 100% certain that’s actually what is happening.
What I do know for a fact is that there is a mass that they found in her lung. I’m going to reserve any fear until I speak with the doctor that did the endoscopic procedure tomorrow.
She is, of course, afraid, and is suddenly complaining that she has pain in her chest and because of it had to take two Lortab.
She naturally refused the idea her pain may possibly be psychosomatic.
And, naturally, her cousin - the developmentally delayed 62 year old woman that we care for - is suddenly complaining of a UTI, and I have to take her to urgent care. That’s how I get to spend MY evening.
…what a week.
That said, the paypal fund (morta33@gmail.com, for my shameless plug) is still up and running, and thanks to everyone that’s chipped in little bits here and there. Jason and I really appreciate the help - it’s been what’s keeping us going with food and gas (mostly gas) this past week.
